Case study development

Effective teaching at the college level often benefits from the use of real-world data and examples, as these data provide material that are inherently challenging and as well as interesting and engaging. In order to support the use of data in the classroom, I am collaborating with Jackie Doyle (Towson University) to develop a case study focused on rapid adaptation in response to environmental change. The case and associated activities aim to explain how climate change many alter populations by examining genomic data gathered from populations of steelhead.

Genomics in Ecology and Evolution: This course covers analyses that utilize genomic data and enhance our ability to understand the relationships between the environment, phenotypes, and genotypes through a survey of current literature.
